It’s that time of year again…time for bird watching. I don’t exactly “bird watch” but I do “watch birds” go to my bird feeder and when I’m driving I watch them roll off my windshield.

Theres more so keep reading.
I always think when I hear birds chirp, “I bet they’re saying something…” BUT I don’t know what and come to think about it, it’s probably something that I could care less about. What I do care about however is what it SOUNDS LIKE THEY’RE SAYING AND OR WARNING YOU ABOUT.
Take the above image for example, the “Brown Tufted Titmouse.” This little guy comes to our feeder all the time and causes a ruckus so I googled him and a bird guide site says his call “SOUNDS LIKE” “peter, peter, peter.” OH HO! what it sounds like?? Now we’re talking…bird.
Pretty much the basis of this Illustration series I am starting is not what you hear…but what you think the bird is trying to tell you. Next time you see one of these birds and hear “PETER PETER PETER” someone is probably peeing in the bushes.
*Side Note*
While writing this entry I came up with another drawing in my head as to what it could be. IT COULD BE… that theres a half man half bird who can actually speak bird and breaks it down into english and writes bird books. The other one is actually something I’m going to try when I see him at the feeder again. So when he cried “Peter, Peter” I’m going to shout “PUMPKIN EATER!!” and maybe it will transform into a magic genie who says like “wowee wow wow, I can’t believe you’re the first person to figure out how to speak to birds.”
Actually thats another Illustration right there. hahah, I love my job…someone hire me for this high quality work.
Well thats it for this post so like always…Questions, Comments, Concerns? Send me an e-mail and feel free to browse my site and flickr account for the rest of my work.
