Indigo Bunting Final #2

I didn’t post any rough work for this one, or a color rough because I just sat down and did it.
The yellow is actually a little darker than this scanned made it to be. It’s more like a…HEARTY yellow, it’s got some heft to it.

One of the reasons why I didn’t do any color roughs of the sort is it’s more fun to sit down and just build on top of what I’ve got started. Granted that’s only if I enjoy the pose and composition of the sketch.
Reminds me of a teacher I had in college, crazy Rick Sealock. When he brought in folders of his work finished work you could flip the final sideways and it would be 2” thick. “Treat every work like it’s a rough”…but that’s what my life drawing teacher would say to me. None the less it’s damn good advice which prevents you from over thinking about your work.

Moral of the story: Stay in School.
